Connectivity is a vital driver for a more inclusive economic growth. Tapping the potential of digital economy in Africa and equipping young people with digital skills for the future is key to new opportunities and jobs.
The Digital Economy Task Force (DETF) proposes concrete actions to support Africa's digital integration and promote its digital markets, boosting public and private investment, improving the business environment and investment climate as well as the development of digital skills.
The task force was launched on 17 December 2018, in the margins of the Vienna High-Level Forum Africa-Europe. The task force is composed of 20 high-level decision-makers from the public and private sectors. This composition reflects the geographic, cultural and gender diversity of both continents, as well as the public and private sector and civil society.
