On the 27th and 28th October 2015, the EU-Africa Economic and Social Stakeholders' Network held its second meeting with the aim to:
- Allow for social and economic interest groups from the EU and from Africa to contribute to the Valletta Summit;
- Reinforce cooperation between socio-economic interest groups from Europe and Africa;
- Contribute to the capacity building of social and economic interest groups and
- Exchange information and good practice.
At the meeting a resolution was adopted, emphasizing the willingness of economic and social stakeholders to cooperate in the resolution of the refugee crisis and in the shared management of migratory flows. The resolutions calls for cooperation between the EU and African countries on legal migration and mobility by promoting a common migration policy that is consistent, respects human rights and is based on a spirit of solidarity and cooperation with the countries of origin.
