A new exciting funding opportunity for Pan-African and European CSOs: the EU Delegation to the African Union invites original and innovative proposals to encourage civil society engagement on the African Governance Architecture in the next 4 years.
Civil society organisations play an important role in achieving the African Union Agenda 2063, towards an integrated Africa driven by the participation of the African people.
As part of the EU initiative “African Governance Architecture Support Project”, a Call for Proposals worth EUR 6 million has been launched to support Pan-African civil society organisations and to encourage their engagement with AU institutions in the area of democratic governance and human rights.
Interested applicants can submit their project proposals in response the the following thematic lots:
1.) Support data-based advocacy and engagement activities of Pan-African Civil Society Organisation networks with members of the African Governance Platform on human rights issues.
2.) Support the emergence of innovative citizen-led initiatives operating on a continental scale to promote and monitor the implementation of the African Charter on Democracy, Elections and Governance (ACDEG).
