African and European partners are actively supporting connectivity, aviation and road safety as a source of growth and of further economic and social inclusion. Infrastructure investments underpin the ability of African countries to fully capitalise on growth and jobs creation. Economic integration and value-chains are linked to the regional, continental and global set-up and therefore require connectivity, both intra-African as well as strategic linkages between the EU and Africa.
The Task Force Transport aims at identifying ways to boost investment in the African transport network and infrastructure, providing recommendations on development assistance interventions and identifying structural reforms to support the transport sector and improve business environment and investment climate. The Task Force Transport is composed of three clusters: aviation, connectivity and road safety.
